as you can see, the icons are overlapping....the icons underneath the ones in front arnt actually there, i deleted them, and moving the front ones out the way, you cant click on the ones behind...its like thieve super-imposed themselves on the screen...
Right-click on desktop, select arrange icons, by name (for example)

Select all icons except my computer, my docs, my network and recycle bin and press delete.
* Hyper.nl likes a clean desktop.
Right-click on desktop and select sort now (or whatever this option is named in english )
or
Open desktop as folder in explorer or (better) in good file manager and check/delete/move what you want.
When you finish cleanups:
Never use desktop again to store anything.
nvm, i just figured it out...it was my backdrop, i took a picture of my desktop to put on a forum once and accidentally saved over the old backdrop...so naturally, the icons in the picture still showed up.
