pc crash

Hey peepz,
so finally I got my computer today. I had this problem in america too. My computer crashs sometimes if I start for example ut and than during its loading ut i start firefox. The computer turns off and the little lamp at the front of the tower is flashing and I cant turn on the computer again. I got 2 plug off the power cable, wait a few seconds and plug it in again.

Any ideas?!

Maybe some sort of heat issiue ? faulty memory ?

nope its not the temp., i checked that already. what do you mean with faulty memory?

Hi Nosh!

Sounds like your PC changed into Standby mode (the power LED usually flashes then). Could that be possible? Windows often has problems with the drivers, such as not being able to reactivate them properly when Standby mode is ended. This could explain why you have to turn your PC off.

I don't know why the PC would change into that mode when you're loading UT and Firefox at the same time, but probably you just try to deactivate the Standby mode and see if it happens again.

standby mode is not screen saver
i just say it so there is no confusion about that =)

nope... i dont use stand by mode... and it happens just sometimes... thats the weird thing?!
and sometimes my pc turns off when i play stalwart xl classic.... my computer just turns off?! dont know why =((( and i realy like that map
maybe my problem is gone when i got my new computerparts but its still strange...
but thx for the idea cocomaniak =)
any other idea?

Hi!

The only other thing I can think of is that your PSU is too weak for your hardware. This means, in special situations, your CPU and GPU might use too much power, causing the PC to shut down.

No further ideas, sorry.

hmm... I have no idea, cause it does not happen every time at the same situation... thats the weird thing. Well but thx for the idea.
Ill let you know if I find a solution.

If it does not happen in the same situation, then think about a short circuit. Remove all of your components one by one, and put them back in. Make sure that all are seated right.

But, I think Coco was closer to the truth. Someting you are useing is too old for the other componets. Good luck with it. If you were closer, we could figure it out together.
