Btw.: Did you know that this day was invented by Fleurop to raise their sales? It's just the same as Coca Cola did with Santa Clause... ever wondered why he has red-white clothes?

heum coco santa clause comes from sinterklaas a child holyday season in the netherlands and belgium
when new york (new amsterdam) was from the dutch they brouth sinterklaas to usa but they can't say it so it became santa (sinter) clause (klaas)

I aggree with you Coco. But as I was growing up as a child, I always remember being over-joyed the whole holiday season. My father still acts like a kid around the Christmas season. But you are right about the Cocacola man. He was "invented" In the early to late 30's by Coca-Cola. The face is supossed to be that of a circus clown. But other stories, like Party D mentioned, exist. I remember one of a Saint from England, or maybe even the Netherlands, not sure now. He used to go around to the needy kids in the winter seasons (of coarse this was automatically detected as Christmas) and hand out small things to eat or drink. Germans have stories like this also. But who made it big?!?! Coca Cola. Oh brother!!!!! And to think of what it was made of back then.... Yup, the real stuff.....
