Here my problem:
I got a new gapic card. An Asus EN8600GT (135 Euro). B4 i had a Asus AX300SE (made for low cost - now 25-30 Euro). Bouth are PCIx16 Extreme cards.Now i have to playing with LOWEST settings, but not b4 with the "little" card.........pfffffffffffffffffffff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cant play so.

So i will take this weekend for reinstall my OS. I think it will takes 6-8 hours......arghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

My Pc is a P4 3,0 Ghz, 1024 kb L2 cache with 2048 mb Hyper X Kingston Ram (400 Mhz - dual channel).

I downloaded the newest driver for the graca, but no betterment.....hmmmmmmmm

When after reinstall there isnt a approvement i will take the big one like deemer!!!

why on earth did you buy an 135 euro 8600GT.. they are normally priced 90.. might as well bought the ati 3850.. its 150..
or even the 1950pro.. 119 euro.. all of them are much much better than 8600gt.. hell.. even 7 series nvidias are better than that card.. and for such an extremely high price..

Hi Marwin,

unfortunately, Ghost is right there.

Do you have deinstall the drivers of your OLD Graphic-Card BEFORE you build in the new one?

What's going on with the 'Device Manager'. Can you see there a black exclamation mark on yellow ground?
Yes means - graphic card isn't installed correctly.
No exclamation mark to see means - your card seems to be ok.

Another idea and i know it sounds funny, is the following:

I think you are using Windows XP. Make this steps:

1. right click in the free area of your desktop.
A windows appears 'Graphic Properties' or 'Eigenschaften von Anzeige'.
2. Choose the Tab 'Attitudes' or 'Einstellungen'.
3 Choose the 'Advanced' or 'Erweitert' button.
A new windows appears.
4. Choose the Tab 'Trouble-shooting' or 'Problembehandlung'.
There is a regulator in the field 'Hardware-Accerlation' or 'Hardwarebeschleunigung'. This regulator must be fixed on the very right side. If it's 'sleeping' on the left side, you have found your Performance-Prob.

that is not the problem it seems that most peeps are complaining about the 8 series with the strange behaviour the graphic cards have with ut2004 , i have the same graphic card and the only thing i could do to fix it was to play with the ut2004 in read only , and to use weapon hidden

I've never heard such a crappy crap!

I'm using a nVidia 8800 GTX and it's running quick as lightning under UT2004.

How about other games?

if u check the atari forums there is a page where most peeps are complaining of issues with the 8800 series and ut2004

.
But i believe that the problem could be the cpu or the psu.
Even though i had the problem that Marwin was saying >_<.
Some of them have confirmed that when they changed to vista
, the problem was gone

. I believe that the problem is
the cpu , since it could be holding the full performance of the
graphic card (ut2004 is more cpu dependent than most games )

sry Ghost, i know that was a bit high price, but 1.) I want a Asus no other!!! and 2.) its the last passive cooling card, all higher ones are with fan..... i will take at my next Pc one with fan (.........better i must).
I also have a silent power supply unit, and a silent fan on CPU because i dont like loud Computers.
So that price was ok for me for silence.....

Ty Skarijscout for tipps and troubleshouting!!!

1.) Yes i deintalled the other card b4
2.) The "Hardwarebeschleunigung" is on the right side
3.) In device manager the graghic card self is right installed, but i got troubles with the advaced device from graca (a new position not under graca on device manager - other devices).

I am really an idiot that i dont watch device manager after install....................
So i will try to remove this trouble, hope it helps^^

I got one other trouble:
I have between 10% and 18% loss from my station to the 32p Ons server checked with WinMTR ( tipp from carnage).
How can i shout this trouble???
I would post a snapshot, but i cant because i dont know how..........lol

I have 7 stations to the server, and i got loss on server Nr. 3: 195.3.70.126 with loss 8%, and Server Nr. 4: vix.leaseweb.net (193.203.0.140) with loss 7% .................... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I will try to connect my ISP to ask I have or not fast path, i dunno now.

Hmm, I think he's asking how to post it on the forum, right Marwin?

Well, when writing a post, there's a button labeled "Add an Attachment", right above the "Preview" and "Submit" buttons. When clicking this button, some new options will be added. One will let you choose the picture file on your harddrive (in German it's labeled "AuswÃ¤hlen"). The path of the file you chose will be visible in the field left of this button. After this, you can add a comment for this picture in the field below, but this is optional. When you're done, simply click at "Add Attachment" (or choose "Preview" if you want to see if it worked).

Again in short:
Click "Add an Attachment"
Click "AuswÃ¤hlen" (and choose the file)
Click "Preview"
Click "Submit"

Done.

marwin... you do realize, that for gpu's.. asus is one of the lesser brands..
sure they might be very good in mobo's.. but just because a brand is good at one segment of the market doesn't mean it's good at another..

i can understand you wanna go silent instead of loud fans.. but the latter is better though..
