Crysis experience..
Ok so I installed Crysis on my new pc, and after alot of tweaking I found the perfect graphic setting giving me a steady 60fps on average..
I'm playing it at 1024x768x32
4x Anti-Aliasing
Most settings on high except for a few that are on medium
The game looks beautiful, although I am not able to go to 1280 and crack up everything.. the game is very well playable, much better than I had first thought..and even at the settings i'm using it's still the most beautiful game I have ever seen regardlessly..
So have any of you played crysis yet? What are your experiences?

I finished Crysis a few days ago and thought it ended rather abruptly
Let the triology begin
I played at medium settings with a resolution of 1440x900,
I dont know how much anti-aliasing
and I got a steady 70 fps
if I put everything on high I get occasional lags and an average fps of 40 but I rather play with a bit lower detail and play smooth. What gpu do you have?

I just installed the demo, and tried playing it with all the settings set for my computer. It runs ok, but I have noticed that the commands hang. Like when I am running, I keep my finger on the "W" button for a while and when I release it, he does not stop going in that direction. Did anyone else have this problem? Is there a patch for the demo, or is it my computer? I have a 2.66 GHZ intel pentium 4, with 1 gig ram. With the ati radion 9700 with 128 mb, I have very little problems anywhere else. I did install it on the new (
thank you mr. Wolf ) 250 gig HD, and I am thinking this could be a problem. I can not play it as it is because I keep running right into the enemy's arms and getting shot to pieces.

Well it runs fine on my pc, ofcourse it might take years before I can experience the full dx-10 very high, max alias, max resolution that crysis can give.. but then again no pc on earth is currently able to get more than 30-40 fps with those settings..

I don't know what you have been reading then.. but that is not true at all.
CrossfireX as it is now called, scales much and much better than any sli configuration, and granted it doesn't give a high performance boost on crysis.. it does on virtually any other game..
And yes ofcourse XP, who in his right mind would use vista at this point, that would only torment your fps,
and like I said, only 1024x768 res, only 4x anti-aliasing, and water + game effects were on medium instead of high..
But my 3850 crossfirex works perfectly..
If I use my screens max res 1440 with max anti aliasing and set the other two on high aswell I get only 12 fps.. wich is low..
I could probably configure it so that I have much better graphics and 30 fps..wich would be the minimum playable..
But i rather play smooth on 60 fps..and miss out a few eye candy, as I said the game is still stunning the way I have it now..no other game surpasses that..

Dudes!
the fairy tale with low fps under vista.
Maybee first graphic driver releases didn't support vista as well as they should. But that's history since a half year. I'm using Vista 32-Bit for Gaming and Vista 64-Bit for my daily office works since 7 month. Yes, i've installed two OS on my Computer. It's running with unbelievable performance.
Crysis is one of the first 'DirectX 10' supported games.
Under Vista - and only under Vista - this game is running in the 'DirectX 10' mode, if you have hardware for that.
In this mode, you can see graphic effects you've never seen in a computer game. Of course under 'DirectX 9' it's looking well too, but you'll be massive impressed watching it under 'DirectX 10'
Therefore my question for your 'fps'. Cause that's the price you must pay for Crysis in the 'DirectX 10' mode - low fps. And in this case (i'm only talking about DirectX 10) the CF have big probs atm..
I've seen EA has released a patch for Crysis (1.1). It should resolve many performance-probs. Do you have any expierence with that release?

yes my fps increase by 5+ when i installed the patch.. I was very satisfied with that..
and though you are right about crysis..i think that vista has too many downsides.. i'm not gonna run it just so i can have cool graphics in crysis..
vista is still very young.. with lots of child diseases..I will wait for them to vanish before i start using it

Sounds very good. Same with S.T.A.L.K.E.R a few month ago. They finished an update which increases fps 10 till 12 percent.}TCP{Ghost wrote:yes my fps increase by 5+ when i installed the patch...
About Vista I've a split opinion on sight. It's nice to have and it runs well, but you doesn't need it really if you uses a well running Windows XP SP2.
MS have integrated many things in Vista, you have to install from 3parity software before. But some things are more worse ever.
That's life!
