To be honest: I thougt about asking to join your clan for quite a time already. But I was unsure wether I'd have enough time for all that I think would come together with it. I talked to Carnage about it and he told me that all of you have jobs or school to do, of course.
So now I made a decision: I hereby ask you if I may join the TCP clan. I think, some of you may know me already from the ONS server where I have been playing regularly. By joining, I hope to train my skills (and especially my weaknesses) and maybe be of use for your clan. But most of all, I'd like to join for fun and friendship, since I think that most of you (the ones that I have been chatting with a little) seem to be really kind people.
A little info about myself: I'm 35 already (for exactly 11 days now) and have been fascinated about computers for a long time. I started with a C64 in 1986, got an Amiga in 1989 and had my first PC very late in 1998 only. I have been programming assembler demos on the C64 and on the Amiga for several years (you know the Demo scene?) and in different scene groups. I also like making music on the computer, but usually, I don't share the results with others (this might be your benefit
). I ran a mailbox on the Amiga for 8 years until 2000. In case you don't know what a mailbox is: users can call the system via modem and browse the messages stored in public boards and write answers, etc. This is how it was done before the internet arised. In fact, it is quite comparable to a forum.In all this time, gaming has always been a topic for me. My favourites are roleplaying games (like Baldur's Gate), riddle games (like Myst) and action games (like Unreal Tournament).
My further interests are roleplaying (pen & paper & LARP), reading fantasy novels (like the R.A. Salvatore ones), listening to music and astronomy or science in general.
I'm together with my girlfriend, Sonja, for 11 years now and in March, we're moving together finally.
Ah, I almost forgot to mention where I come from. I live in Bonn, the former capital city of Germany.Well, this shall be enough for now. I'm anxious to read your decision. If you don't want me - no problem. As long as I may play on your server, I'm happy.
