Alternate..a shop..yes..If I'd buy something, I'd rather buy it where I live and not over the internet to also pay shipping :/
But I was just thinking that ppl like you have 20 screens at home and think to themselves "Gee, what could I do with 1 of those 20 screens..Where could I put it.. I dont wanna sell it, since I look like a capitalistic ass then..What to do..what to do...Oh wait..Theres Cee.."

I carried a 7 kilo monitor 2 or 3 kilometers once... well... I was warm then even though it was a cold day

Good excercise... still getting the stuff shipped home has its advantages when you're low on time and patience.

BTW: Buying via internet has some adventages. For example, you have a week (or two, don't remember) to send it back and receive all money you spent, for no reason

It's cause you can't examine (to look) it before purchase, so it's possibility that it doesn't meet your requirements

At least in Polish law.

Also in Dutch law. But I never used it. You still have to pay the shipping costs.

the other thing is that internet shopping is one step closer to never leaving the house/room/bed/deskchair.
