Converting unreal gold maps to unreal tournament

Hello. I have a question, i have been trying to convert a map that is played in unreal gold to unreal tournament and i came here to see if anyone knows how this is done. There has to be a way to convert 226 (gold) maps to UT. Can anyone that read this and knows a way, let me know! please, thanks

convert it to 225, save it, open it un unreal tournament ed, save it in the ut maps directory.

that should do it.....

i dunno if u have to convert to 225, but any map which i've opened in UT from unreal has been 225.

im probably wrong but try it anyways.

Uuh gold maps... I heard there is an easy way to hex edit gold maps back to 225f compatibilty... it's just ONE stupid class that's causing the problem... umm something like "level.summary" must be changed to something else... forgot what though :-/

Once a map is 225f compatible you can play it in UT without any further conversion. However you shouldn't use maps which have singular Rifle bullet pickups because they cause your PlayerPawn's inventory chain to unlink and effectively DESTROY all your non-directly referenced inventory when picked up... in other words: if you pick up a single Rifle bullet, all of your inventory will be lost except the gun your currently use!

winged unicorn also made a program to convert 226 into 225, but im not sure that it woud work for gold. it might, mind....i think i'll try it some time.
