Forum is back it seems
Nice to see. I already more or less assumed it would be lost forever. So seeing it back online is a nice surprise.
Some newer topics may have been lost in the conversion but I'm mostly happy to see it back.
How is }TCP{ doing lately?

I'm amazed the forum had my current email address so I could change the password
Thanks Carnage
Hi Hyper,
a few of us still play UT2k4 (Taz, Cloud, Wax, me
, and both Wolf & Killer occasionally and one of two others (not seen them for a few months)
also Taz has recently started a U1 Monster Mash meet about once a month; Van is teaching us how to play that again, Cee confuses peeps there with his skin, and Carnage keeps threatening to turn up
also there is a Steam group with several other TCP peeps but I haven't been there in ages 'cos Steam dropped Win 7 support
Thanks Carnage

"Confusing peeps with his skin" is a rephrase of the more appropriate "gives us, and mostly me, a valid reason to shoot him without cause or regret"
The password worked for me without forgetting anything, hello, it is I, from the computer video game. Also, Ramses, seeing how Windows 10 is phasing out this year, maybe you can upgrade to that now
Or have you considered running Linux on something ? Steam does support that at least and vice versa :p

Re: Forum is back it seems
Good for me Taz provided I remember to change my clocks to BST by then
@Cee Yes, I did consider a dual boot linux thingy a few weeks ago as a rescue for the few steam games I haven't managed to coax/bluff into working.
But it's a lot of faffing around to downgrade to win 10/Unix etc when I already have too many working games to play, so I will keep the Unix escape pod in reserve until my hand is forced by lack of drivers (I'd still be on XP if I could get the drivers
)
The other thing is that I have a lot of utility programs that I use for family history etc that I would probably have to change, another unwanted fly when I know exactly how to use the current Win7 programs to get the effects I need.
So there are reasons for my luddite tendencies

The pictures are working again, so well done :p
Re: Forum is back it seems
Hi guys, it's awesome that the forum is back. I was in the same boat as Hyper thinking this was it. But Carnage's always good for a surprise it seems. Well done, mate!
I actually didn't get the mail since I changed it to a tcpclan.net address back in the day. But I can't access this account anymore, so it was either deactivated or the password was changed without me being involved. I just found out about the fourm, because Taz made a post about the gamenight in the Steam group.
Anway, it's great to meet you peeps again!

Hi Coco good to see you
I think that there was something in that email you didn't receive that all of the passwords had been reset, and to access your account you had to use the "I forgot my password" facility. I thought I was going to have difficulty due to me changing email addresses over the years, but I must have updated the forum 'cos the pw update worked for me

Hey Ramses, nice to see you as well.
I didn't have to reset my password. My previous one just let me in here.

You could consider adding a microphone to your old setup so we could hear your raspy coughing oldness for a change}TCP{Ramses wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 4:33 pm I did consider a dual boot linux thingy a few weeks ago as a rescue for the few steam games I haven't managed to coax/bluff into working.
On other news, MS has decided to put their Linux Subsystem towards open source. Who knows, maybe some crazy geeks will add some reverse-wine, as I don't think the subsystem runs Linux games out of the box. It's definitely an interesting prospect.
