The goal of this PM, is to get you to Google 'XRumer', so that it increases the Google page ranking for that tool. It's from this user:

Hi, buddy :)
I looking for XRumer with discount !

Would you make advice me, where I can download it?
It is really the best program for SEO !

P.S. I need XRumer of only latest version - 12.0.9, all others versions are very old and are not effective!

WOW lol you're still alive?

Yeah this guy seemed to have asked a few others too... guess the morons never die out though one would think they'd have learned by now social engineering only works on the feeble minded.

Anyways good to see you :)

Hi Wolf :) Ya still working with Epic, now doing exploit testing - after I showed them some exploits that have been around ever since Unreal1, finally convinced them to take this kind of stuff more serious ;)

Funny enough, I'm actually working alongside Luigi on the exploit testing, who did a lot of the Unreal1 exploits Zora was fixing.

Good to see you as well :) Hopefully UT4 will be good, once it's out, and there'll be more TAM/ONS to play! Working with Unreal Engine 4 is interesting (it's also 'nearly' free-access now as well btw, so you can get the entire source base for the engine - every bit - either free or just for $19 quid, which is a pretty nice move by Epic).

Have a good Christmas/New-Year!

EDIT: Lol at profile title - 'regular visitor'.

fixed... :P

Well it's about fugging time they take the exploit stuff seriously, they're only 1,5 decades late.

So... how long will it take you to convince them to free the Unreal One engine? Hrhr ^^ yeah I know the answer to that :o

While you're at it, you could introduce high level encryption to game connections... hghehe

Hah - ta :)

Ya unfortunately, the older engines will likely never be public, due to third-party software licenses; encryption is on the 'todo' list for UE4 though ;) (am in contact semi-regular with the engine netcode guys)

Hope you both had a good Christmas :)

I think that actually makes more sense than anything ("We don't want to be bothered...") I've ever heard. I've been running through licensing information whenever I had to implement something with a third party library on the job but very often it's a complete disaster trying to decipher the legalese - and while we do have a legal department the usual decision when something is unclear is "trash it, we gonna do it ourselves - or buy it off some consultants and let them worry about it" lol (yeah hello Germans, here goes some of your tax money)

I am absolutely no legal expert, but Epic is a US company so if their problem was not being able (or willing) to check 3rd party authors' consent, I was wondering if this

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use

could be applied, as long as publishing older engines and derivative work was forced to be absolutely non commercial / non profit. I must say I'm a real of iD Software here because they're usually throwing out their old engines enabling ports to other systems etc. Of course they may not have the same 3rd party licensing issues...

... encryption is on the todo list? Feck, THAT I'm gonna like ;)

Happy holidays :-)

No legal expert myself either, but if fair use is a valid reason, I reckon Epic would still (sensibly) play it safe there, and not release - it's a pity alright though, as would be good to see the old engines released.

Still though, at least you get the latest engine full-source! ;)
Ya iD were very good with this alright.

After the utter clusterfuck that was GameSpy shutting down recently (I spent Summer before last, coding a new UT3 master server, reverse-engineered the - horrible - GameSpy protocol); after that, I think Epic are going to be a lot more reluctant to rely on third-party protocols/services, where avoidable (and especially, where they bring licensing restrictions...)

Ya, encryption's on the list, and I'm working right in that area of the code myself, so will likely be the one reviewing it for security issues too (along with Luigi) - when though? No idea :) Lots of backlog to work through there.

Happy holidays, and happy new year soon! :)
