Some great UT videos by the Epic development team are up on their official YouTube page:

Really like the latest video which shows a map made by one of the devs. So much better than UT3

Totally awesome! It really can't harm to have a few good games out there, right? I'm curious to see how this will develop...

If you register on the official UnrealTournament forums, you can download the pre-alpha verion of the new UT4.

I've just played a bit online. Some FFA, a duel and some TDM games. So far it looks promising. They are focusing on the movement still, but it is still enjoyable to play. Dodge jump is out, but instead of that you can multi-dodge from walls. For example, in a corridor, you can dodge from left to right between the walls. You can't keep that up indefinitely, but still some nice alternation of the dodge-mechanics :). There is also a roll you can perform. I haven't really found a use for it yet tho. I've only played 2 hours or so.

Weapons are totally out of balance. But they will fine tune those when they are done implementing the movements. Rockets are overpowered now and the shock combo has a huge range where it deals dmg.

So far I like the direction they are going. Looking forward to the end result :)

Just going to dump some links here..

Each week (Wednesdays or Thursdays, I forget) there is a live stream on twitch where people from Epic discuss what's going on and cover some community questions. Here are the archives:

Recently Epic flew a bunch of people from the Unreal community over to Epic HQ to play the current game, discuss stuff and socialize over the weekend. Pretty damn cool!

Beyond Unreal has a weekly summary and keeps an eye on things, also looking back on the earlier games.

Guys, serious question - are TCP going to be playing the new UT in any competitive sense?

They've started getting esports for UT up and running (bit too early in my opinion, but nonetheless):

It would be nice to play with some TCP guys - the game is actually in a really good place at the moment and fun to play. I play under txc- still so add me in the in-game buddies if you see me... I need to build a new rig to actually play with decent settings though!!

So this is a free download and to play ? Do you need Steam installed at all ?

If the answers are yes and no then I'll have a crack at it .... I have a 2013ish midish spec PC setup now (AMD FX-8350, 1023MB GTX 750).
