Euro 2012

Post by }TCP{Marcin.B.BlackT32 »

Hi peeps! No topic about Euro 2012?
I couldn't find it myself, so I created new one.
Ah, OK, I guess you're stuck to the TV screen, but when the grip goes down, write down what you think, you're teams that in your opinion are most likely going to lead etc.

P.S Why do I have to face exams right now?! Heh...

Maybe... it's all a matter of daily shape and a good portion of luck in the end. ;-)

What I don't understand is how supposedly top footballers still get away with cynical lame play (ie diving and shirt pulling). Even if the officials who are put there specifically to stop such shenanigans are so obviously incompetent :sayhearsee: , all top matches are televised and examined in detail by the media and fans alike. It really is the equivalent to using bots in gaming. Surely all culprits should be identified, shamed, castigated (oo-er missus !) and even drummed out of their "profession" for repeat offences :whack: (me ? harsh ?)

I really can't see how anyone can enjoy or take satisfaction in winning when some in their team resort to such "win at all costs" tactics  (even in war there are limits).

I suggest that all lamer footballers should be forced to watch snooker to learn the dignity of fair play :thumb: .

And my tirade isn't aimed just at the Italian national team ... I'm not a football fan and I think that Italy deserved to win on skill last night, I just think that their victory is tainted ... maybe the old Teddy Boy tactic of sewing razor blades into lapels would make them think twice :pcnoob: (that's not a serious suggestion, football shirts don't even have lapels :P )

well honestly after 1998 world cup i didnt watch soccer anymore like i should. Ive seen many things going wrong and so much leeeisssss! that watching soccer is only the final and then when i watch them i see who is going to win the team with a bad BET will win! Because UEFA is a huge business corporation. Only profit counts!

Nice Euro overall, of course my team sucked however I thought they gonna leave group stage, but no.. at least we and Ukraine won on other field ;).
I had my expectations with Croatia, they played well.
Generally it would be interesting if Spain would have won, first time in history when Euro champions defended their title... who knows.

Yesterday I was on Germany side, but... well, yeah Italy was just far better. Anyways congratz for German team for fighting to the end. I was happy when they at least had penalty shot ;).

That's what happens if a team can't make something out of their chances while the other does. 20 shots on their goal and the Germans didn't score. :-P The Italians were better indeed, but the German team had some strong phases as well and it became pretty close in the end. Nevertheless, the better team has won (as was to be expected). Now they have to deal with the Spanish... ;-)
