heeeeeerrrrmm...

heres a thought.

if one wanted perminent stat and player storage by use of an ini file, and doesnt want a really long one which could clog up server or whatever, could he use ini files on each individual clients pc. like unreal created this ini file and updated it as the game was being played?

if so, how easy would it be to encrypt it, make it tamper-proof and stuff.

Well... complicated enough so I wouldn't try :-P

Seriously, I am not an encryption expert. You can expect simple byte shifting, rotations etc to be decrypted within seconds though, but even IF you manage to make something good a serious cheater will still crack it.

I would go the server way.... really...
