UT fucked up...

Heyho!

I have not been on the servers recently because my ut is fucked up.

When i go into join game if i click any tab on the top i.e. internet favs buddies etc, my ut just crashes, but i cant alt F4 or use task mager to close it. Only way to do it is to shut my pc down or open ut in window mode, any body know why? I really dont wanna reinstall since i got to copies and might be wrong cd key to my cb guid....

Hmmm nvm ignore this it started to work again >.>

EDIT - now i get 4 fps whilest in game... not much better

hmm, C:\UT2004\System folder, find ut2004.ini and user.ini, cut and paste them onto your desktop as a backup, then load ut again. ut will regenerate the 2 files and set everything to there default settings. if that works its a setting in one of those files (woulda thought it was ut2004.ini, user.ini is mainly controls) happened to me a couple of times where those 2 files get curropt from random reasons. might not be that of course, you still run other games fine? not your graphics card on its way out is it?

and you can find your cdkey in your pc's regedit, also can find it in ut itself when its loaded in settings somewhere

In regedit the cd key will be in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UT2004

Ingame i have not seen it anywhere tbh .. only the CUID

Any other game working normally?
If not, it is prolly your graphics card which is fucked.

Oterwise the ini trick of nightman might help. I always set my user.ini and ut2004.ini to read only. So it doesn't get fucked up without me knowing it.

I have no idea where to find that H key stuff xD

My graphic card isnt fucked because LoL works fine, and the ini's where read only however i changed them so i didnt play with NmS' weird controls xD
