TCP funhouse 1

Heyho,

I'm having pronlems with FUnhouse 1, I add to my faveroutes and it doesnt stay there, I can't find Buddies who are on that server, an they only way I can gain access to it is via xfire when someone else is on that server, Anyone got any ideas?

The simplest is to add a buddy with this exact name: }TCP*

This will let you find all TCP members, as well as tryouts (because the closing bracket is left out).

Other than this, adding a favourite should normally work fine. Could it be that your UT2004.ini file is write-protected?

I have already done that with the }TCP*, it picks up other members but not if there in FH1, and i have no idea if my ut2004.ini is write protected, i dont think so because i have made changes in it before and have other servers in my faves.

Hmm ok, I can't think of anything else, sorry. Checking if it's write protected is easy: Just right-click the file, select "Properties" and verify the checkmarks at the bottom.

when you say it doesnt stay there, do you mean it literaly does disapear, or it shows as offline? because over the last 4/5 weeks fh1 appears to be offline to me most of the time, now and then it suddenly appears, and somtimes it shows as offline but theres people on it...

the same thing happened to me:
the server FH1 was marked as offline in my favourites. but i could still connect to the server without any troubles.

it seems it just doesnt ping to the master server of ut2k4 for some reason but it isnt really offline...

I got the same thing for about 4/5 weeks as well. You can still join the server. So np for me

It does appear in my Faves at all, also if TAM or Freon is the gametype i cant see it under the gametypes, and i do have that box unticked at the bottom. And with the ut2004.ini it isnt write protected.

Also, it doesn't ping the server in the favs. It shows N/A for me most of the time, or I get an ? instead of a ping. Just join it to see if ppl are on it. That is what I always just do

Hmm, really strange. I just checked it here and I see the server ping, as well as the players there.

Here's my fav line for FunHouse #1 from my ut2004.ini file:

Favorites=(ServerID=0,IP="95.170.68.21",Port=8218,QueryPort=8219,ServerName="Ã¿Ã¿}TCP{ Ã¿FunHouse #1 ?Ã¿Ã¿[TAM/FREEZETAG] !!")

The server name contains colour codes of course, but that's not important. Maybe this helps...

Ah, i put that code into my faves in the ut2004.ini and it now shows in game, Thanks Coco ^^

i dont have any problems with it, i do know u need to right click servers in buddylist/internet list and click add to favorite, else it doesnt work @ me.

since i last added #1 & #4 they ping just fine..

I changed the server key for the server .. maybe that solves it
