Let's see how it turns out for Alice, but I am starting to think that there is a possibility that UT2004 had a specific release for Eastern European countries, with localization elements for these countries only (ie no English announcer etc...)
It would mean that the ut2k4fonts for such a release contains, besides the Latin alphabet, fonts for the Cyrillic languages and could explain the mismatch issue.

that should be all thats needed normaly, i can swap one to another fine this way, however...}TCP{Coco wrote:all you have to to is to edit your UT2004.ini file, find the section [Engine.Engine] (at the beginning) and change the Language line to Language=int - that's it.
its possible the english files have been overwritten by polish ones, like the polish game you bought is a later release and they added the polish text by overwritting the english txt files, as you have it allready on Language=int i would think thats how it works.. you could try changing it to one of these, det = German, frt = French, itt = Italian, est = Spanish, int = English... but if int is polish i guess the only way is to get someone to send you there files..the Language= value corresponds to the file extension of localization files available
i take it your fully uptodate with the ut2004 files? got the UT2004 Mega Pack?

welllll... i dont mind uploading the files, but i wouldnt have a clue which they are.. i guess i can copy the dvd and upload that and you could just install from the dvd using your cdkey. in theory you just install my dvd only your game, then install the patches again, quite a bit of work just to change menu language lol. i will have a look to see if i can work out what files it needs tho.. altho i have a feeling the only way to tell is to install both in different folders and search through to look for differences..}TCP{aLICe wrote:I think (because don't remember) all the "packs".
Yes, downloading files from int release of the game could fix all these problems, but I nead the source
edit --
in theory, it should just be a couple of files, 1/2 texture packages and maybe a few system folder packages..
(In case you don't know about it) you can use a tool like Winmerge to check the differences between two folders:NightMan wrote:altho i have a feeling the only way to tell is to install both in different folders and search through to look for differences..
