Hi everyone. I was in the game yesterday, and was asked to add some Shock ammo.

I went right to work, and had it done in about 20 minutes. I was going to post it here, but had trouble with the forum. It died on me, but now it seems to work, so enjoy more Shock in the Observatory. ;)

If there is anything else that someome would like changed, give me a buzz. Frank

PS To the peeps that want to put this in there map list. Just rename map, and take out the "1" on the back. :)

:?: If you mean the map, the scale feels about right to me, Wolf ... it's Cybrosis2k4 that suffers from Land of the Giants syndrome imo ... if you mean the damage from the shock ammo then you really need a worm hole back to circa 1998 :shock: :lol:

No I meant the size all right. Cybrosis is even more off in scale, there is no doubt about that, but I cannot overcome the feeling that to get from point A to B in Observatory takes notably longer in the ut2k4 version. This is a problem quite a lot of "conversions" have in common as the "dodge acceleration" is overcompensated.

When we made this back then, we tried different scales, and this one was the one that fealt the best. I could try again, and scale it down a notch or 2. The problem is the double jump. I have to keep the height of the openings, like the doors just about the same. This is no problem, but it may look a bit akward.

It's probably okay to tweak the vertical / horizontal aspect ratio minimally if it does the trick.

Then I will give it a try. I loaded it up last night, and it has a bunch of lights, but that should not be a problem.


Does anyone have a comment on Observatory?
