We always used Hamachi like any other normal person (www.hamachi.cc)
Oh and its Homm 5, basically the only thing you need is the Tribes of the East standalone addon, everything else isnt really necessary for mp

OK I will seek that hamachi thing out, I remember you or someone mentioning it before and it sounds useful. I will also have to config my firewall (I just switch it off for LAN play).

So we need a time, format and decide who is to be server (ie DM or TDM, random or chosen races, ghost or no ghost mode etc). Re server, my PC is a 2 year old Intel Core2 6700 @ 2.66.

I'm easy on format although I'm not sure I fancy ghost mode. If it's DM my mate can probably play (making 5 of us), if it's TDM then I would guess it'd be Partydevil and me vrs Taz and Cee ?

Arent you using a router ? I've given up on software firewalls since I got mine
Time doesnt really matter to me, but I guess it will take a few meetings to finish a map. Taz probably has the best PC to serve, after all he gets all the stuff bought from his rich family :p
And there isnt really a big variety of tdm maps, is there ? We barely tried any downloaded maps, only the ingame ones or randomly generated ones (and that eliminates tdm again -__-). Races are up to the players and Ghost mode can be off, we might as well chat ingame while waiting for the turn or do other things

i heared hamaci opens all your ports for evry1 to enter
and that leaf is better secured then hamaci

Well I think I have installed and configured the Hamachi thing, my LAN pc's are talking through it anyway

Taz/Cee could you send me a pm with your network details (name and password) so I can test it sometime ? Also a time to connect would be good
