Unreal Tournament 3 Cache

Post by }TCP{Cloud »

Hey peepz,

I recently got this game, and it plays nice (old gameplay style bit) But what i want to know is:
How can i keep my cache (downloaded stuff from game servers) for always?
I already googled a bit, but all i get is extractors and converters.

In the older Unreal games u have to set cachedays in some ini to 0 to let the cache stay.

Maybee here it already stays forever, but i dont know that yet, and since this game looks so complicated to find the right ini etc.

If someone knows more about this, please help me.

Thanks in advance, Cloud. :)

Not sure man, but if they kept it the same way as always, it should be in your ut folder. I have already unloaded the demo, and do not want to reinstall it....yet. I think Marwin is on line and could look it up in his folder.

My daughter may be getting a new computer from us soon. her birthday is next week, and she really needs on. Soooo, if she gets one, I will reinstall the demo, and "test" her computer out, and then I can look for you. Frank

Have you tried the third post here:

:?:

Back up your UTEngine.ini first though (reading the 4th post, not sure if the thread starter made a mistake or if there was a genuine issue).

Nice find, thx :)

I changed those values to 0 (zero) in: Users\Accountname\Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config

Change those values to zero was in the old games enough info, to never remove my downloaded stuff. :) Hope it works here to. :)
