She ran off the road, and when the truck came to pick her up, it also fell in the ditch, with her car on it. It is a bit funny now, because noone got hurt, but, boy was I pissed then. Frank

I know this too. 13 years ago, i think, I drove on a Bundesstraße (Highway or something;) ) and between two Citys 200 m Street wasn´t dispersed. There was a really Skating rink and HUIIIIIiiiii..... I slipped with 100 km/h over the against roadway a few cm behind an oncoming car in the dig. I thought "that was it", but NOTHING happend.

Hehe, Yeah, you are right TransP. And for the gurdian angles that were watching out for her. But I have a question for you, and all of you that had accidents as kids. Did you learn from it? I am hoping that my daughter, Jenny, did.

I have been in 4 crashes myself.
Lucky im alive.
And I have lost 3 good freinds from crashes.( 1 was only 19 at the time ).
So I have learnt alot from those times and if I am in a car with anyone doing something stupid, I say look stop the car let me walk.
No point loseing your life over showing off.
Glad to know she is ok Frank.

Whats best ofc is that u learn things in advance so i dosent need to happend something bad before u understand it. I think evryone can have *after incident wisdom*. Although i frequently see people never learn from their mistakes, wich i find quite amazing how thats even possible, then doing same mistakes over and over again.
I never been in any car/bike related incident, that u could call serious. Will mostly call that luck, but im also quite aware of the danger around me and i always have been, so i never take any unneceseary chances. Why?. i ges its beacuse my parents never shielded me the truth and were quite honest with me, about the danger about evrything. Also seen a lot of accidents about evrything on Tv, making me at least aware of stuff that *could* happen.
ridiculous how it might sound, but i also think my nightmares taught me about dangreous of things. I always had nightmares when i was younger about evrything, evrytime i dreamed of anything it was always a nightmare. about me dying, or somebody i knew, or just psychological torture in diffrent ways.
1 example that happend to me and sis.
When i was about 14-15, and sis 8-9. We were on ice fishing with my older sister and her boyfreind. It was in the early summer, most of the ice were still safe, but certain spots were not. we tryed our luck and dident get or felt any fish bitin, so i went a bit from the group and tryed my luck in a previous drilled hole in the ice, the ice i noticed were quite thick were the hole was,but just 1meter away it was dangrously thin. Then my sis were gona come to my place, and she just blindly walks on the thin Ice and i can hear it crack. And i yell like crazy to her to stop and go back. She does so luckly, but sins its quite normal for sis/brother to argue all she seemed to remember was that her brother was yelling at her. Not what actualy coulda happpen. When i was 8-9years old i would never never be so careless, i would watch each of my steps closly and never walk blindly on the ice like she did. After what i belive, i belive its beacuse She was a girl.(now u think wtf?). The reason why, she always got , hmm whats the word, cuddle/cuddly/cudlied?, sins i was born a boy ur almost naturaly supposed to be tough(i hate that tho), so u have to put up with a lot and many people dont consider ur feelings or anything just cause ur a guy. Thus my sis got a lot of shielded from basicly evrything(dont wanna call my sis names),but it kinda made her naive.
So, a dilemma in many ways, are u supposed to be tough on ur kid to learn things, or are u supposed to shield the kids from things, so when things realy happen they have to learn it the hard way.
Although im not a parent, but belive me(snowbird), i know the feeling of this, makes u angry at first, then just happy later, but yet worried.
I dont mean to offend any1 tho, by boy/girl talk. I belive we are equals in evry way, say one gender is better then the other is just nonsens. Were either just as good or just as bad, U cant jugde gender & race for that matter based 1 person. Rather jugde the individual.
