Frank, Thanks for the suggestion. I'll save the image and look into it, but it may be a lot of work if I have to move rooms around or in other ways form a new structure, so maybe I could start another map of this scale someday, coz I have created a monster.
But I agree, more junctions needed.
party, I also agree with you. The map turned out way too big for this kind of game. Poor people getting lost. xP Although it was supposed to be this big, it really doesn't fit in with the pace of the other maps, where you're in battle within five or ten seconds. ^^;
What bothered me the most about this trial was the insane amount of data it generated. I have no idea what information the server had to send that required this massive amount of load on netplay (or was it downloaded?). Maybe I'll get into trying it through a server here and see if there is some logging done on the information sent, but, now that my brief holiday is over, it's first back to the other time stealing work, so I won't get much concentrated time on it. :s
oh, and congrats to the explorer darkmind for finding the lava switch.
Maybe I'll move that idea to a smaller map. But it may not work well there, since this game moves so fast. But always fun with interactive elements.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions, and thanks for trying it. ^^
