I've had quite some experimenting with several anonymous proxy services, including GhostSurf, TOR and several public proxies. It can work but most of the time it slows down the connection speed considerably. GhostSurf is even worst, it usually corrupts data coming in.
So, I'm back to a non-anonimyzed connection again. If you want an anonimity solution with high quality and high speed you'll probably have to pay for it. (Monthly fee for use of their server)

Hi!
Hyper is right, it's an anonymisation software. And from what I know, it can really slow down your connection. So you should not use it for online gaming or big downloads. It's made for simple surfing as far as I know.
To have it in German, simply open the German page:

There's also a Wikipedia article:

Coco.
P.S.: I've heard that this is a good piece of software (especially free and developed by a German university). It would definitely be my choice as well!

These are my experiences also. I only tried TOR and found it useful for the occasional side trip to pages I didn't want anyone to know it was me being there. But for regular working in the net? Impossible speed. Also bear in mind, that end-nodes are potential security risks again if you do not use end-to-end encryption. There have been reports in the past of TOR end-nodes sniffing out passwords and such, so either don't do anything critical over it or make damn sure it is a highly encrypted https connection.
