For those of you who cannot find the controls....

Step 1: Open the sound controls by right-clicking on the loudspeaker symbol in your task area, then select "Open Volume Control"

Step 2: This window appears (or one looking similar), select options, make sure "Advanced" is checked, then select PROPERTIES from that menu....

Step 3: Switch from Playback to RECORDING properties, and also make sure that "Microphone" is listed and checked in the list below....

Step 4: The window will have changed to RECORDING controls, which means all changes here are NOT audible to YOU directly. Now check Microphone as recording device if not yet checked, turn up its volume and click on the Advanced button....

Step 5: Check the Microphone boost if not yet done...

And of course, remember to SCREAM as Carnage told you, in case the above doesn't help.

I had the same trouble with realtek, but new treiber solved this.

dunno what kinda crad etc. etc. is in my comp tbh

Moslty the soundcard is onbord, so u can also searching for audio drivers from the mainbord producer (if u know what mainbord u have).

I like Asus exactly in this point. Its very easy to get the newest driver there.

Mostly the drivers are old when you buy the sound card. You need find out what card you have and then go to this link,

and then look up that company. GL

Well, in case he don't even know the manufacturer or the model, that won't help too much, Frank. :-)

But taking a look at the driver CD should definitely bring up some details. So this would be the first I'd do about it, partydevil.

srry i do know what sound card i got but was to tired yesterday to look it up =)

it's a "trust sc-5100"

i'm gonna check for drivers then =)

i updated the driver
but it's still white blocked
