PUBLIC POST - Magic Girl removed from }TCP{ PERMANENTLY

With the recent posts on public forums

it was determined that our clan member Magic Girl has used a cheat on a
public server. That alone is grounds for permanent membership removal of
this clan, but it gets worse.

Magic claimed to be involved in some sort of testing to help developing a
new anti-cheat. Magic did so repeatedly in the past, but never let us know
any details about it, or who else exactly was involved. We made the mistake
of letting it slide the first time, having hoped to have made ourselves
clear what we think of cheats of any kind.

Turns out it was not a one-time offence, and we are the fools for it!

Magic Girl has a history in }TCP{ and was kicked out before once for
misbehaviour. After a long period of re-evaluation the appearance was
created that Magic had improved character-wise and made a good addition to
our clan again, despite a lot remained ambiguous. Magic Girl actually WAS
being a helpful member on many occasions, thus successfully scamming us. We
always have given the benefit of the doubt, and in creating doubt, Magic
has been extremely successful.

However, it shall end here.

Magic Girl claimed that both Clan Base administration and [CORE]Maxi would
know about the anti-bot development and the bot-detection tests. We asked
both and got the same reply, that they knew nothing about it.

While several members had their suspicions, this is the first time we
can clearly say we have been LIED to! We have to assume now that every
positive contribution of Magic Girl was made to deceive us and keep us off
the track of Magic's otherwise less encourageable contributions. You are
noticing that I avoid personal pronouns? This is one of the leftover
ambiguities....


The clan's decision is therefore this:

1) }TCP{ will remove Magic Girl from the member list, this time, it will be
PERMANENT with no chance of reentry, ever!

2) Magic Girl will be BANNED off all our servers, TeamSpeak and Forum Member Section.
The 2 known UT2k4 keys are this: 486103eace5480c26f91cf178661be98, ip 213.148.229.247

Kal'el, you can assume the key Magic gave you is compromised! You will get
a new copy from Wolf, throw the other away when you get it!

The teamspeak private channel will get a new password, our regular training
password will change too.

We encourage every admin to ban the keys mentioned in this post, and do the
same if you spot a }TCP{ player who is NOT mentioned on our official member
list http://www.tcpclan.net/active_members.php . Membership imposters get the same fate
from us: BAN!


We would also like to thank Kobra and z1on for their support. This has been
an interesting experience to be the target of such an elaborate scam, and
we shall learn from it.

There has been a lot of cheating lately since 2 dutch guys where caught cheating too in ut2k4 (I think they were called Reno and Dixie)...

Wow carnage! I heard about that some days ago.. Kobra told me the story about the cheating!
It is just sad for }TCP{ cause I think IT (magic girl) was a good player, but I never liked her so I dont care about her!

On the other side, it's the correct decission from the clan leaders to kick him/her (bah, how irritating to not know how to refer to it ). Cheaters, for whatever reason they say they used it, shouldn't be tollerated.

Well it is sad that it had to happen this way. I was also bluffed by her turn-around in character, but after reading the other posts about MG's cheating, I guess there is really no way around it. A good job to those that had to do the research and to those who had to stand tall and kick her out. I hope that we can now continue on as always. Frank

sad to see magic go this way, she or him seemed to be a nice person when i played him/her a couple of times in tcp and other public servers, i never had the intention that she was cheating in any way.

Well, just another proof on how far you can trust poeple these days, specialy over the internet.

Magic and party, if you read this, i think we should blow thurstday off, there is nothing left to wiebel on anymore now mg is no longer in TCP.

Magic was probably not cheating all the time. I liked him/her too but the made up stuff nobody could verify and left questions just stank.
