wolf and carnage might remember me from many years ago
Croc<.!.> from downunder here with small questions about uteamfix on unreal1 225f server + teamfix 10F + nephtys 1.1
changing to some maps reverses gametype to deathmatch so all uteamfix goodness is gone any idea how to fix this?
other one is eightball "lock on"
it doesn't lock on players but if i addbots it works on bots
last one not related to uteamfix
what is current best cheat protection out there?

There used to be an 8ball "lock on" problem I think but that was fixed long ago. I can recheck that though it sounds like you might be running some other mod in conjunction with UTF which may cause an incompatibility which has been unknown as of now...?! Are you using some custom weapons/mutators and/or custom player pawn classes?
One other possible cause: have you been using an older UTF before and maybe haven't overwritten ALL files with the update?
The map switch back to an old game mode:
Check your map list, it is possible that you have old game types specified in the map list settings, since it is possible to add gametypes in maplists. If you are using Dots' mapvote, make sure to check the configured gametypes with your voteable maps, otherwise the mapvote may start the "default" one.
Anti-Cheat:
227 is close, so just wait for that
There is no public cheat protection for Unreal 224 to 226 that hasn't been hacked (yes UProtect has been hacked too).
One other possible cause: have you been using an older UTF before and maybe haven't overwritten ALL files with the update?

Uprotect hacked? Interesting. I thought it was being avoided at all by using 'unfair advantage giving add-ons' that work at a way different level than UProtect can detect.
Well, everything can be hacked or avoided. And without very intrusive (Spyware-like) countermeasures cheating will stay with us. I'm interested in what u227 will bring us tho.

If they exist (and I do have heared the rumours) they are being kept private quite well. I don't see them around in any of the Unreal pages I regularly check.

nothing else at all
i'm using only normal map list with few maps added, only place game type is set to are the very top of unreal.ini DefaultServerGame=UTeamFix.DeathMatchGameFix
i had to remove quite a few maps that were never a problem years ago and they not some odd maps too but classics as groovemachine and few other well known maps
as for eightball lockon i had 10b installed before but i did overwrite all files, is this possible problem?
if you think it is work trying i might reinstall unreal and skip 10b step

Yes, you DEFINITELY have some file from UTF 10b left somewhere.
