Hi!

Does anyone of you know the log1 game already? This can drive you totally nuts and is highly addictive.

It works the following way: There's a webpage (see the link below) with a small hint. You shall use the hint to guess the URL (that means the address) of the page for the next level. In case you have it, you can simply enter the solution before .htm in the address.

For example, if the address of level 1 was www.example.com/level1.htm and the hint on this page would be:
Level 1 hint: The best clan in the world
Then the step to level 2 would probably be to enter www.example.com/tcp.htm

Yes, this game is awesome. You need all your knowledge about the internet to play it. I'm now at level 31.

It would be cool if some of you also tried it. I'm curious how far you can get. By the way, I was unable to solve level 1 and 2 at first. I was already close to giving up, before I finally got it. In case of problems, I'll provide small hints here - just ask!

i wish I remembered what the other one was. It was also an internet interactive game, that you had to find something to get to the next level. I think I got to level 3, and then got stuck. Of coarse with my life being so busy (always like that since I can remember) I just forgot about it.

Yes, that's true. I also don't like the guessing part, but often, it's more obvious than you might think.

In this case you're right about Google, but you might have noticed that the Google categories have changed over the years. I guess you didn't find the hint in the HTML source!? There's a comment about the year. Using this and the WayBackMachine will help you to find the solution. Alternatively, you can simply do a Google search with the categories in the riddle and you'll find discussions about the categories of that time.
