Hey,
I know you dont know me very well, if at all... But I know you design great mods... And I was wondering if you would be interested in creating a Paintball Modification...
I have not the slightest clue on how to program with Unreal, or I would do it, and I know you can make awesome mods, so I figured id give it a shot.
I would love to have a Paintball mod, it would be fun, I would even run a dedicated server just for it... I looked for mods for Paintball.. I found one, but I think it was for 224 or earlier... I tried summoning the gun, but no such luck...
Well, its just a proposal for a great mod... Ill be back to hear what you say!

I'm afraid to say I cannot help you at this time at all, as I have my hands very full with work already. My latest project was to convert all my mods to 224 compliance which is done by now, but there are at least 2 projects which require my continued support:
-UTeamFix (a version 10 is on the designboard)
-Crystal Castles, which is a total conversion mod where I am part of a 5 man team and development is already going on since last year so it has all priority right now besides real life
... and as you may know I am also involved in a few other less public projects
If you already found a paintball mod which is just not running, maybe you can give me a direct download link, so I can look at it what the problem is. If it is as easy as fixing the Rain script I might just find a way to get the old mod running which would be way faster than writing an entirely new mod anyway

Sorry havent been around for a while....
But anyways, I saw you sign up on our forum, so i decided to stop by and take a look see on this...
I tried finding the URL to the paintball mod, but... Every site that had it, is gone.... So, I was uploading maps into the Dank directory last night, and i saw the MOD!!!!
So I quickly added the mod into the Unreal Mods of the Dank page.
You can grab it at this URL:

I hope you can work with it.. Or, if it does work, just tell me how to correctly use it. Im trying to make my server a fun 1.... I just added some gib maps, and already it became more successful.

I see everyone running Uteamfix now.
I was wondering if it still had the same functions as Ucop. Well, like, can I enter my server as administrator when the server is full?
Thats basically the only thing holding me down from installing Uteamfix.

to make it short, yes you can enter full servers as admin, you can also summon bots and assign all bots a TEAM at once. You can join non-existent teams as admin (or full teams). You can always spectate as admin (even if no specs allowed) etc...
It also has other features UCop does not have, like autobanning retards that keep suiciding or killing teammates... however you MUST configure it well to suit your needs

Sooner or later I might just add more comfort for the normal player, but I fear once I modify the playerpawn it may become more laggy. I always assumed that THIS was one of the reasons for UCop to increase lag a bit, but I could be wrong and have to find out...

... suggested already from the start, that the code was originally built on an older engine. When summoning the paintguns in game you get these errors:

I've seen something similar with the rain script so I thought a recompile might do the trick. Now comes the sucky part, the author has REMOVED his sources from the package. Trying to analyze the files or reconstructing the sources gives other errors like "unknown opcode" at several points.
Both the "bad token" and the "bad opcode" indicate that the (de)compiler does not understand the bytecode as a matter of age.
So, without the sources and without the capabilities to reconstruct them, I'm afraid there is nothing I can do

I appreciate you going and looking over that mod for me.... It was worth a shot... Hey, it mighta worked...
And, about UteamFix... I never downloaded me a copy yet... never looked into it... I was just torn between Ucop and Uteam... But im going Uteam now, because serverdog is too complicated for me...
