Note: For all Nvidia users with crash problems (kernel32.dll/blue screen) on the demo here's the solution Locate the UTEngine.ini file in: C:\Documents and Settings\MyName\My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\Config and change the line called: bInitializeShadersOnDemand=False to bInitializeShadersOnDemand=True

This fixed all my problems, hope it helps some. :D

Be sure u have latest Drivers (163.71) and latest DirectX. (9.0c August)

Hi!

Thanks for the info, Cheshire. I had one bluescreen and 3 or 4 crashes until now. Maybe I'm gonna try this. But I guess I have to update my 3D drivers and DirectX first, which I'm too lazy to do at the moment. :-)

Just for completeness: In the "Config" dir, you have to edit the file "UTEngine.ini". The mentioned entry is in the "[Engine.ISVHacks]" section.

Well I tried to play it last night. Ir runs at 800 x 600 and my FPS drop down to 6 or 7 sometimes. So I guess my opinion is somewhat biased.

First impression is that of 'more of the same'. The bots are hardly visible against the background but that may also be caused by the poor performance of my hardware.

I won't buy it before I have some decent new hardware. As for the gameplay I can't really judge it cos I can't play it. Overall visual impression it's a good looking game.

Next year maybe, I don't wanna buy a new PC before christmas.
