We probably wont be moving en masse into UT3 as soon as it appears, that my guess anyway. But there will probably be a few of us present when it launches.
A little history explains why I think this .... We were originally an Unreal Clan, most of us played the original UT but didn't really like it as much as Unreal.
When UT2K3 came out, ZZCat and then Angloid (and possibly Tranquility, can't remember) ran servers, but the Clans main interest stayed with Unreal.
Similarly with UT2K4, ZZCat and Kobra and Carnage ran servers in 2004/2005, but it was really only at the start of 2006 that the Clan moved seriously into UT2k4. We have recruited many fine members in UT2k4 since then
I think that if the Unreal Community had not dwindled so much by 2006, many of us would still be very active in the original Unreal.
Sorry }TCP{ if I have missed anything out or just got it wrong, I am as you know very old and running out of grey cells

Hi Shin!
Good to see you in the forum. I saw you on the Onslaught-Server in the last weeks.
Concerning your question, I think it depends a little on the hardware of our members. Not many of us might have the CPU and GPU power needed to play UT3 when it comes out. So I guess only few will be able to play it in the beginning. Having this in mind, it might not make very much sense to run an own server with UT3.
But maybe the game is just too good too ignore and we'll put one up (that means Carnage or ZzCat). Let's just see what our main admins say.
Personally, I hope to be able to buy new hardware when the game comes out, so I'll probably give it a try. But it's not really decided yet.
Btw., in case you don't know: Most clan members play TAM (Team Arena Master) as their main gametype - only few of us play Onslaught. It's basically similar to LMS (Last Man Standing), with the main difference that players are divided into 2 teams and start off with all weapons. In case you want to give it a try, check our other servers:

Funhouse #1 (TAM/Freon)
Funhouse #2 (UTComp Duel)

Yes, I agree with the hardware issue. I have to rebuild a new pc too for this, because i wont to miss the game.
True: I like ONS, and never tryed TAM. I was just wondering about it.
If i'm not wrong, this mode don't appear in the modes-list so maybe it's necessary to upgrade/modify/change something in the installation? I'll search in the forum, I need to learn more. Now I'm curious.
@the_kay: UT3 will be delivered also for Linux (and PC, MAC, PS3 and X360). I don't know if in the same time.

(I've understood your statement?)
See you on TAM, if I'll find the way

Yes, you understood my statement
Hi!
Funny, kay, I thought you knew that already.
I got to know it approx. 2 weeks ago.
@Shin: You don't need anything to play on the TAM servers. All you need will be transfered automatically. But in case you want a fix installation for your game (and try it locally with bots eventually), you can get it here: http://www.3spn.net/

@ Shin .... This link points to a useful patch from Carnage that shows TAM servers in your server listings (I think, I always use favourites and buddies myself
)
http://www.tcpclan.net/phpforum/viewtopic.php?t=1353
@ Carnage .... I think this patch might be useful enough to Sticky it to the top or include it in the useful info topic ? It took a while for me to find it

Hi Ramses!
This is basically the same as what I posted.
Anyway, I'd suggest my link, because it directly brings you to the official download page from the creators of the TAM gamemode. Furthermore, you get the most recent version there (exactly the one that we have on the servers) and last but not least, the download in Carnage's post doesn't exist anymore (it's an old version anyway).
As for the finding of TAM servers, you must have the TAM gametype installed (the 3SPNv3141.u file must be in your System folder). Only then, you can select TAM as the gametype to search for in the INTERNET tab of the game).
Anyway, to give it a quick try, you can simply click at the server links that I provided in my last post. The game will start automatically (at least under Windows) and connect to our server while the TAM files are being redirected to your Cache directory.
