Unreal for free and legal

With the coming of Unreal 227 (see http://www.oldunreal.com/) in which I play a small role in the scripting part, I wish to bestow upon anyone who is --SERIOUSLY-- interested in the game and who does not own it yet, a LICENSE!

I plan to buy used copies of Unreal over eBay, indeed I have already started, and intend to send them away to anyone who doesn't have copy yet and wants the game.

Now don't expect me to send away 100s of copies, more in the range of 10 or 20, if there even is that much interest from people who do not yet have the game. My clanmates can confirm that I handed out presents in the past (mice, mp3 players...) so this is not a joke.

I will buy as many copies as I can cheaply and send them on, whoever posts first to want one (you will need to be registered on this board) will get one -IF- I have a copy available. These copies can be the original Unreal or Napali whatever I have around - the 227 patch will work on both - I will NOT send Anthology though.

I try to avoid the "full German versions" as I am not sure these can be switched to international language (ENGLISH), if by accident you get one of these please I already aplogize in advance...

The offer is open to anyone, clanmates and non-clanmates alike. The interest must be genuine and not some "hey there's something for free lets get it" type of interest if you know what I mean!

I will need your complete true name and your full address to ship to, both of which will be enough if you private message me instead of posting such information publicly.

Shipping Unreal copies will NOT start until after 227 is in alpha test stage (which hopefully is still this year lol).

Well, as for me, I do already have original licenses for Unreal, UT and UT2004. I don't use any illegal copies, as you might remember.

I played that game for 6 years (almost every day) and i played most 1on1 and Coop. So much memories. :')

What a great guy you are!!! Thumbs up!!!! I have the game here in 3 full LEGAL versions. I can send you a few of them if you like. I am also a bit confused. Are you trying to gte new people involved in unreal? I bought the Anthology version, do I have to be carefull with it? If I can help in any way, ask. Here I am! Frank

Actually I advertised the game a bit at work, lol, so yes if I can I try to get new people into the game too. With the 227 patch the timing would be excellent too because all of the big annoying bugs that make the game a nuisance to set up are history with it.

Admittedly there wasn't much feedback from my work-colleagues, although one or two were rather interested in the general technology behind FPS gaming.

I don't really care if new people are interested in it or "old dogs" that lost or forgot about the game. I know at least one person who microwaved her CD on purpose, maybe I will send her a CD without preparing her for the shock lol.

As for Anthology, all you really have to be "careful" about is the online-incompatibility which you have to fix first before you can play online with it. I posted that I would not send Anthology games out simply because it's a whole bunch of games. Unless I can get the whole pack as cheaply as a single used Unreal, no point buying the whole pack just to get a single game out.

It's very generous Wolf, but can't people just buy Unreal Anthology or pick their own copy from Ebay, Marktplaats (<- Dutch ebay-ish) etc.?

I'm afraid people will just get the game because it's 'free' and let you pay your money for it. If Unreal is not worth a few euro's/dollars for someone it's probably also not worth to send that person a free copy.

Just something to keep in mind before you spend a lot of money to this idea.

People who already own a copy of the game and lost their CD can just download a copy from UnrealDownloads.com by the way.
