Scientific Unreal Tournament 2004 Studies - Episode 1:
How many 'Holy Shits' can you get at maximum?
In color! (only the headline, though)
Our Scientific Researchersâ„¢ (read: the_kay) have once again spend millions of dollars and hundreds of hours trying to find an answer to the highly interesting and until now unanswered ur-question of life: How many 'Holy Shits' can you really get?.
And after reading this Episode, you will know the shocking truthâ„¢.
In our research institute we made many experiments that unearth the truthâ„¢. But before we present you those, we'd like to show you how we were able to get to this point.
Our experiment:
Gametype: Freezetag (Freon) (we thought Freon was the best gametype to choose because dead players can be recycled and killed again)
Map: DM-FnG-TrainingGrounds (we tried many other maps, but TrainingGrounds was really the best because it had wide, big, open areas)
Game Rules:
- Starting Health: 1
- Starting Armor: 0
- Challenge Mode: Off
- Minutes per Round: 0 (infinite)
- Random Pickups: Off
- Bots: 0 (Mutator BotManager was used)
- Goal Score: 0 (infinite)
- Friendly Fire Scale: 0 (Friendly Fire is off)
God Mode (It's no fun dying all the time when you have serious studies to make)
Number of Bots: 30 enemy bots (Many bots were necessary, though we had problems as UT2004 occasionally crashed with too many bots. We tried also 60 Bots, but those were too many)
And now, the shocking results...
...Will not be shown, so that we can bring you this special ad!

Protect your freedom!
But now you have waited long enough. Here is the result:
You can have, in the computer game Unreal Tournament 2004, at maximum, at total of...
255 Holy Shits!
This means, that the number of Holy Shits is stored in one byte. You can't have 256 Holy Shits because 0 is also a valid value.
We have added a demo so that you can verify our studies. Apparently this forum doesn't allow me to upload .demo so, I uploaded it somewhere else. Get the file here (8.5 MB).
Text that belongs to the attachments: This is the demo where you can verify everything we did. Somehow the number of 'Holy Shits' doesn't show up correctly, so you'll have to try and hear how many there are. Also note, that this demo could crash your computer because it has 30 players in it (which is more than the TCP ONS server has)
Thank you for your attention.
Be sure to tune in next week when we will finally unveil the answer to the question: "Does 'Killing Spree' has a limit, too?"
