I can safely recommend any fantasy novel from R.A. Salvatore, mostly famous for his unique drow elven character of Drizzt Do'Urden with probably the widest known book of him being "The Crystal Shard".

The guy just writes fantastically and you're gonna laugh your ass off too.

Did you already read "Promise of the Witch-King" and "Road of the Patriarch" ("Sellswords-Trilogy", books 2 and 3)? In German, they're called "Der Hexenkönig" and "Die Drachen der Blutsteinlande" ("Die Vergessenen Welten", Bücher 15 und 16). These are the most recent books from Salvatore as far as I know and I recently read them - they're great, really! :-)

By the way, if someone really considers to start reading the adventures of Drizzt Do'Urden, then I'd recommend to begin with "The Dark Elf Trilogy" (German: "Die Saga vom Dunkelelf"). They are brilliant and also the first books in the chronoligical order.

Hi Marcin!

Well, as far as I know, only the last 3 books of the list that you called "The Witcher novel toms" are being republished in Germany. But only "The Last Wish" is available now. The last of them shall contain all stories from the first (and missing one) in your list: "The Witcher". So the novel toms will be complete in the end.

But unfortunately, I don't know anything about the plans concerning the saga books you posted. I'm afraid they won't be available in German.
Anyway, I think I'll just start with the novels and maybe read the saga in English then. ;-)

OK :). Books are still publising in England but propalby now only novels, then (maybe) saga. If saga won;t be published, so learn Polish and read all 5 toms, hehe ;).

Hi!

Hehe... how about you learning German and translating them for me? :-D
This way, I wouldn't even have to buy them... ;-)

Too much work in translating whole saga :). Sapkowski have written all books of saga within 5 years, so translating would take about 3-4 years.

Yep Coco, reading those last 2 now... I was a bit disappointed that the book "Servant Of The Shard" was actually the first book of the Sellswords and an identical book in the "Paths Of Darkness" storyline. While a I don't mind storyline splitting, it's a cheap method to sell another book twice if the book itself is identical word by word lol... but oh well....

Oh and don't even consider reading any of this stuff in German or some other language that is not English... when you named the "German titles" I was yelling "BLASPHEMY" at the screen you know :P

Great, I'm sure you'll love them, especially the first of those. Book 1 (Sellswords #1) wasn't that good in my opinion.

Yes, that's true. Fortunately, I've read all about the Sellswords-Trilogy before the books were released here in Germany. So I was prepared and knew I wouldn't have to buy the first book again. :-)

Hehe, I perfectly understand what you mean, but I must admit that I read all Drizzt books in German. Shame on me, but I was simply too lazy to look up all the words that I wouldn't know.
