Yes I noticed a big improvement in distance aim when I switched from an expensive Logotech wireless laser to a cheap Microsoft cloned wired laser, although I still havent got flak and rox back to how I want.

Ive had a lot of frustration with mice over the last couple of years, mostly down to XP and acceleration in Unreal. It makes a huge difference if you can get the right mouse, drivers and settings for you, now my shots go somewhere near to where I intended

Well a bit older topic :)

But well i got this thing since march and already one of me primary clicking buttons has died :0

Alt fire works fine but my primary is (was) kaput .

So .. took the thing apart and saw that the side micro switches where of the same design as the 2 primary ones.
So took the inside of the left side button ( for me the pinky whish is utterly useless and i can not reach it anyways) and took the old instde of the primary fire out ( looked like the little copper switch that makes the thing click had some metal problems .. the bounce seemed to be out of it).
So replaced that one with me side button inside and took me a good half hour of fiddeling but i managed to get it back together
And EUREKA it works like it should once again :)

Hehe still have 1 left pinky button left now .. so i can replace another if needed haha

All in all .. the qually leaves to be desired in this product .. i mean the damn thing is not even 1 year old and already it breaks down on me .

I try and stick with low cost mice that are easy to replace.
I use a Trust predator. This is my second one now and gets a lot of abuse
but has outlasted your top brand mouse Carn.:/

Been thinking of a high priced mouse but if I do go offline next year,it would
be as much use as a set of heated hair rollers.!:):P;)

This is typical for Razer, I am almost smelling an intentional design flaw.

its not realy a design flaw, probaly more a manufacture defect. All parts in a product are diferent, even if they look the same, but their lifespand is mostly not equal, in some cases, a part can die/brake down/../ after a very short time. It was same for grizllys mouse, he's right button died off in less than a weak, now he's got the same mouse and it seems to work nicely... Also my ex-monitor, the LG 775FT - a good monitor for its time - when i bought it, its cable got defected in 2 (!!) days, then the store replaced the whole thing, and the monitor worked flawlesly for more than 6 years.

The point is - don't judge the family by their black sheep :P Razer(or what, razor? lol) has great mice, diamondback is no exception :P

P.s: check out Microsoft Habu (or haboo..?) mouse, it uses razor electronics and laser

All true... but Razer mice usually die by their buttons first ;) this isn't a one-time-bad-sheep, but I have countless reports of dead Razer mice by button death :-) As I said it is "typical" for Razer... if they made the buttons more stable they'd be awesome.
