I do not think it is the editor, although it can be crazy at times. You need to build a water volume and then put the layer on the top.
On the mover, make sure you choose your "key 1" first, then go to "key 0" to reset it to the original position. YOu can check this in the editor, after you make your keys. Just go to the mover, right click, and chose key 1 or key 0. It should work. If it still does not work, write me and I can help ya.

NP man. You build your builder brush(the red one) the size that you need. Then go to the "volume" botton on the left side of the screen. It looks like a, well, a brick made out of water. click it and it gives you a list of different volumes. There is where you find the water and lava and other volumes. click it, and there u go. Where the builder brush is, is where the water volume will be.

SRY, i was somewhere else. You have to reset your view ports to clear up the white. Click on "view", "view ports", then "configure viewports", then chose the one you want.
Just saw u fixed it. (red face)
More than one builder brush? Yes and no. It depends on what you want to do and how you want to do it. Normally, no. You can "split" the builder brush. And a few other tricks. But it is not wise to do it.

Well, you can have a water volume everywhere. make a test. Build a cube 256x256x256. Let it float in the air about 256 units high, so that you can walk under it. put some type of marker on the ground, so that you can find it in game. Rebuild all, and start the level. You can now walk under the water, and if you jump in the middle, where the marker is, you will jump in the water, and swim in mid air.
You can make water, lava, and every other volume you want, anywhere you want. YOu could also use a tube to make the boundries. Try not to make too many strange objets, though. Try to keep it square or round.
You can build a sheet to cover the outside of the water, so that it looks like water, just turn the builder "sheet" in the direction of the side you want to cover.

Well to brushes: You can subtract brush in add brush, but subtract brush has to be at least few units smaller. For example add brush is 256x256x256 so subtract brush has to be..hmm...252x252x252.
To movers: If you have mover, so move it anywhere you want, then set NumKey to 1. That will confirm destination of mover. Then type 0 to move it back. On the end yuo have to set type of mover for example: Stand Open Timed, Bump Open Timed, TriggerOpenTimed etc.

To brushes: the brush size should be 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 96, 128, etc. etc. etc., otherwise you will get a bunch of funny, nice and great looking BSP errors.}TCP{Marcin.B.Black wrote:Well to brushes: You can subtract brush in add brush, but subtract brush has to be at least few units smaller.
