I have made a room with enough space to fit in everything we need. I put in a terrain and then made a large square hole in the center, with space on the outside to put in mountains or hills or what ever comes too mind. Then I added a brush on the top part of the "hole" so that now the terrain is flat and on-going, like there is no break in the terrain. I also devided the "hole" with another brush, so that we now have 3 layers.
When I started this, I made a drawing of what lizard had in mind, (and what I interpreted), and what I gathered from the rest of you, This is my idea. A destroyed city. I know that it has been done b-4, but what the heck. Lets see if this idea has something too it and make the world "Z"
I have not done anyting else but try and make a building into a S. mesh. Now I need help.
I make a building, complete with doors on the front and back, and 5 stories of windows. When I convert it to a static mesh, under the windows and doors, the textures take on the lighting of the sun actor.
I need help, because I do not have the time to research this problem.
I need help with makeing a building that is 5 stories tall, that I can use later to make it look destroyed, (broken glass and maybe a corner ripped off), that you can run in and out of.
I hope someone can help with this. I was thinking of doing something like "TankMeUp", but I would like to go in the buildings if possible.

Yes, I had planed on putting in a physics volumn in both the under levels. The first level down, will have a lower grav as the top layer and the bottom layer will have a less than the one above.
I have little time now, I just picked up a new dog, and he needs a little attention, but in the next few days I want to spend more time on it.

lol i had one crazy idea
what about if we put in a small tunnel in one of the levels and we make it dark
then we put 2 teleporters at the middle of the tunnel, one in the front and another in the back
the first teleporter could make ppl spawn at the start of the tunnel so that they go running and think they are going through the tunnel but they are just getting teleported
to deactivate the teleporter we put a trigger somewhere that ppl have to shoot and then they go through the second teleporter and spawn at the secret room i mentioned
what do u think
i would love to see ppl going through that tunnel over and over again untill they find the trigger

I have to disaggree with you on that one Lizard. PLP would get agrivated and either suicide, or not play anymore at all. That would be a good idea for a one person map, but not in an internet game.
I am not getting very far with this. I will have time this weekend, I am goign to my in-laws, and there is nothing to do there, but design. SO I will attack this this weekend. Wish me luck.

I have not done much on it. I have not had much time to myself latley, and what little time I have had, I have played it away. I have been talking to Meledictum, and he has almost the same map as the one I have started. I will begin on mine again tonight.
I have a road system for the top, and will put destroyed buildings between the roads. There will be holes in the top layer, that will allow you to go down to the next level. This next level will be like a cave with the ceiling with broken pipes and other things that you may see under a city. Then it goes down one more level. What is down there? I have no idea. In the center of the whole thing (as seen from the top), is the gyser. If you step into this, it will shoot you up to the top. Those are the ideas I have.

Good idea. I know a guy that made a boat mesh that actually worked. You could get in it and row? I am not sure, but I am sure that it moved. I will keep this in mind.
I am sorry that this is taking so long. I am haveing trouble with the buildings. I want to use S. meshes because I want to use them over and over again, (it'S a big map
) and when I build them with windows in it, the editor does not use the right lighting under the windows. I will most likely just use the buildings that are already in the games thta you see, to speed up the production of this thing.
