225b on server unreal1

Hey I need some help, I have this server I wanna run sometimes, but it doesn't let people in that have unrealGold..

You guys know how to fix it. someone told me to put a 225b server up.. but I have no clue how to do it, I just know i need to change some lines in the Server.ini bitchass file lol

but which one, I could use some help

If u have the original Unreal and not UnrealGold, then this patch is strongly recommended: http://www.oldunreal.com/patch/official ... ch225f.exe

If u already have 226F patch installed, u better reinstall the game, if u have 224 patch, then u can just simply update.

If u have UnrealGold u need this patch: http://www.oldunreal.com/patch/official ... spatch.exe , then u can only have people that have UnrealGold also, to host with UnrealGold and people with regular Unreal trying to join, will end up in a error.

Are you sure about 225b? I have never heard of that version actually.

My advice to you would be to have 2 separate installs, one with 225f that will make your server and a second with your gaming Unreal. Keep the 2 installations separate and you should have no problems.

As for changing ini files, you cannot make a 226f compatible to 226b - you may take out the UPak.u from the serverpackages, but you will still have the network incompatibility after that. Any 226 version is just a big NO for servers.
