Soz hyper, its just the damn deathunters

they really piss me off

my unreal just fucked up completly...whenever i try to play it, it comes up saying cant find file window.dll. reinstalling the program might fix this. so i reinstall and no difference

sereously people, i think my unreal might b going in the bin eventually. damn unreal. its startin to get annoying. and a lot of the coop severs are havin problems, like santi's server and jojje' server, as if unreal 1 isnt being looked after properly by the master server

i think unreals gonna turn out like the ps1, not having enough people using it to b worth upgrading and stuff

OK now im depressed..........

Xavious, I have Window.dll from unreal 200, 220, 224v, 225f, 226f and Gold. I can send you a copy if you want.

Of you want to re-install, be sure to make a backup of your unreal\cache folder first

(otherwise you need to download all server files again)

Our apologies, Xavious, our bad with the password!

In the past, so few members showed up that we held our training semi-public, so freelancers could even join and fill our ranks. Yesterday for odd reason the server was FULL in no time so we didn't and freelancers and instead do some REAL team practice.

Next time - provided you still feel like you want to - the password will be sent to you as private message OR email.

Another thing: sad if you're having technical problems with Unreal, but so far there has been a solve to them all. If you get kicked by half the servers of the world, there is likely a cheat protection that doesn't like something on your game. If you modified any existing files, this may be the reason. As Hyper pointed out the "UBrowser" is a trouble maker, change it in any way and you certainly can't join most servers.

Normal people never change their files and thus should never run into problems. Telling people who EXPERIMENT with Unreal from malicious hackers/cheaters is next to impossible, so whenever something modified is found, the player is booted. If you experiment with Unreal, I'd strongly suggest you make at least 2 installs of it, and only play online with a "standard" install.

OK even wierder, my unreal seems to b in a primative stage...the sound fx are all different, on screen messages are in different places, and however long i wait, i cannot connect to online games. the menu screens are different as well, like the multiplayer menu is no longer just join, start and player setup, but sais stuff like find Local games...

do i need a a patch again

i might still need that file hyper

Hmmz it would seem u just patched it
u can change the way it looks in advanced options /drivers / console

that should make it look the way u where used too

Maybe it is a problem that is not caused by unreal. Maybe drivers, windows error, overheated CPU or something even weirder.

You can usually read the generic Engine version you have whenever you see a menu, in the TOP RIGHT corner of the screen. If it is anything lower than 224, you are in dire need of a patch to play online.

also, my ed doesnt work. when i open it, its always a gpf error. and i need the disk 2 play it 2.....this strange

neway i honestly cant b bothered sorting unreal right now, im hooked on diablo 2 and the mods for UT

but theres sumthing else u can help me with. its for playstation experiance in london, and a comp in the official uk playstation 2 magazine

the question is this:

"what would u say to an extremly strong bouncer, stopping people getting into ps experiance thru the back door, so that he will let u in. this may involve bribes, sweet talk or favors. try to keep it short."
