New test server is definatly better then the old one

Thanks for the tip we will certaily look into that

We are allready looking at some other hosts but we thought we'd give this one the benefit of the doubt .. in the hope we can fix it

If it can't be fixed i guess we have no choice

Just a short comment why I haven't done anything regarding some tests yet: Unfortunately there seem to be some problems in communication with the customer renting the server so my boss told me to not do any step in this direction until this is solved. Seems to be serious, but I'm not the one in charge in this matter.

Hope this will solve.

No need to rush from one host to the next. As far as I know, we have at least one good server/admin in reserve (ZzCat, unless you have dismounted your machine again), so take your time picking your next steps. Besides I never played ONS anyway, indeed it's one of the games I only enjoy as spectator...

I think zz's server is still broken

And i must admit i didn't like it in the much in the start either
But now that i've been playing it for a while i realy like it
Especialy when the teams are evenly matched

A game can take foreven then but it's loads of fun

Ah you need to give ONS a good chance before you properly begin to enjoy it

Try hopping on the Titan server and watching some of the better players there, see what tricks they use in the vehicles etc...Once you learn how to use the vehicles effectively it's great fun.

Even if you haven't gotten used to it yet, the Titan community alone is a good reason to keep playing it

(and also, you should talk to some of their server admins...they are great people and would be very helpful to you for getting any future servers running optimally)

Yeah the titan server is realy good fun

Although i find some maps on there realy fruity .. but then again that is of course all a matter of taste

But still a shame the server is gone
We where getting quite a few regulair players there.

Ah well let's hope we can get the new one sorted quickly so we can continue

How can ya like Monstermash but on Onslaught? Seems wrong somehow...

I mean, i only played UT2K4 for about an hour, but i had a little go of everything, and ONS was my favourite.

The server is standing in a corner of my attic room. It hasn't been repaired yet. In fact it's so utterly broken that I would be better off buying a new server alltogether. At the moment me and Carnage are looking into renting a commercial UT2004 server that will be able to host 20 players.

As I understood it you were paying an amount of about 80 euros monthly right? Carnage and I are thinking about a server that will cost us 45 euros max monthly. And on top of that we agreed to pay for it together. We could rent a very nice server indeed if more of us would agree to put in a few bucks a month.
