Any more info? What's the configuration and what did you change to the system before it started to give problems?

well... before the crash i had saturday it worked fine.
i tried to install the old driver but my computer goes off right before the installation is done like the new driver...
and if the card really is broken then it shouldnt show that there is missing a driver for my geforce card :l
i had to buy a new card anyways.... i think its time now

Are you using the chip manufacturer's drivers (nVidia if it's a GForce...) or the drivers from the card maker? Smirftsch told me to ALWAYS use the chip drivers (Detonator...).

1.) You should always make sure that all older/other gfx drivers are uninstalled..Theres some software for that..I think detonator cleaner or something.. :P

2.) You dont really need a Forceware driver for an mx. A Detonator around version 40.xx or 45.xx should be sufficient.

Cant you also try to install the driver manually ? So instead of starting the exe to install it, just go to system/hardware/gfx card thingy and update the drivers from an extracted directory (if it can be extracted :P) :/

And what error do you get anyways ? :l
You could try booting in safe mode and installing the drivers from there ? :O
But thats why I changed from Nvidia to ATI, you always have problems with the stupid drivers :P
