Yah yah yah thats the one hehe.

But i think i prefere the colored one:

I'm not sure why, i think perhaps because you've used such strong contrasting colors, really makes the two dragons stand out.

One thing about it though (and i'm no artist so maybe i'm wrong) is that the quality of the image (especially noticable on the red dragon's fin) isn't very high. I think it very much degrades the quality of the whole image, and isn't worth it for the few people who would actually complain about the filesize. Do you still have the origional scan?

Oh and the green one's female. It seems aparent to me from the markings around her eye. Seems much more feminine (sp?) than the male's eyes.

Oh but i love art lol...Shame i'm not much good at it...I'll stick with my UEd lol.

Hehehe. ya

I like the sketch better personally because it looks more detailed. But ya, Elfwood is crappy and likes to have a certain file size. My scanner sucked and all the programs I had at the time were Paint, lol.

Once I go home and we get a scanner (soon i hope) im re-scanning everything and putting them on elfwood. Been trying for ages to make Moderator's Choice on it, lol. Was hoping this one: http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/h/u/h ... n.jpg.html would have made it

One of my favorites and most detailed (i think) is one I made of my 2 dragons (the red one and the blue one) one laying down the other laying its front paws and head over the other sleeping with babies sleeping on them and another hatching. Background is a cave outlooking a stormy day with a tree and pond. Art class opened me to make my stuff look better.

Gonna have alot more fan-art comming up once i get a scanner :D Been on an art streak. (want to draw General Grievous from Star Wars)

ohh, and this one was the origina coloring of the 2 dragon serpants http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/art/h/u/h ... 2.jpg.html the other was when i messed around in psp with it. But you're right about the female :) Though some would mistake the other for the female cause of the mark under its eye. Since in some species the females look better, lol.

Yea, i looked at the mod's choice stuff, there was one i saw yesterday that looked a bit crap (a princess standing in a window) but some of the others are amazing. The talent on elfwood is extra-ordinary:

Shit...I can't even put into words how nice those pictures are...And thats really something for me, i'm good with words...

But the image quality on that guy's ones seems better...

What does he mean by:

"You may get the desktop of this piece in the Sept. 04 version of Woodworks absolutely free."

I would very much like the full size pic for my desktop lol...

Hehe, I'm not entirely sure myself.

I use to talk to the guy on AIM (almost had him do illustrations for my novel for me..or atleast my cover) He said his drawings come out as sketches, then he colors them on the computer.

I'm just learning how to color things on the computer, but I can't get anything to look real nice. There's more forms of art out there besides pencils that I wanna learn :P

I used to get similar effects in acrylic on models using dry brush highlight and wash techniques. I have a collection of dragons somewhere in the attic
