well beatemups are good...but not crappy online things...

best beatemup ever is soul calibur 2. no1 can argue with that. at all. dead or alive and tekken don't come close.

roll on soul calibur 3...

DoA and Tekken are the best beat em´up games but the good old 2D Street Fighter games are also great...
cant tell you anything about soul calibur couse i never played it.
i dont like to fight with weapons anyways so it wont be a game for me :)

btw...
i remember there was a beat em´up on PSone called "EHRGEIZ"
someone knows that one ?
...xavious should know it :P

but of course.

sucked tho. only decent thing was being able to fight as tifa or cloud.

and soul calibur 2, although it uses weapons, is the quickest and most fluent beat em up. If two expert players play together, you get fights of matrix coolness. the flow of the game is great, moves just seem to string together perfectly, and theres real rhythm.

i remember playing it with my brother and his friend some time ago...we played it for about 6 hours straight...then we decided to shove on tekken tag tourny...we started playing it, but stopped after like 3 seconds, cause it just felt sooooo slow.
