Wandering ports

Post by Hyper »

I got some stupid problem with my servers: The ports change. For example: I start my crystal castles server using this command line:

Unreal.exe CC-ArcaneTemple?game=Crystal.CrystalGame?difficulty=3 -server port=6666 INI=CCserver.ini LOG=CCserver.log

And it starts fine at port 6666 But after a few map changes it's now running at port 7784 for some reason. And when i try to connect to it I end up in my coop server. :? :?: (Which runs at port 7777)

I posted my thoughts about it on the HyperCoop forum as well.

Basicaly, make sure to also set the INI port entry rather than only using the command-line to specify the port. The CC server must be defaulting back to 7777 which happens to be binded to HyperCoop server first (may explain why you connect to HyperCoop). Port 7784 may just be the result of the query actor trying to find a consecutive +port that's not binded.
