but he is right about the beginner thing...from what ive heard of linux, it sounds very hard to run.

but theres alot i dont know about it, for example, until reading this topic i thought it didnt have a GUI at all, like it was command driven or some crap...

The fact that Linux is safer and better than Windows is also getting kinda outdated, since I keep reading about kernel faults and security holes day by day. Sure, Windows is easier to get with viruses but seriously..Every sane person has either a firewall, a router or some AVP to turn the threat into some form of IT joke :/

Actually, Windows 3.11, 95 and 98 can be considered as "DOS GUI" because without HIMEM.SYS, which is a DOS drivers, none of them work

So, they are NOT operating systems, because operating systems are self-sustained.
