Hi!

This is vampire from XtC

The new utemafix is pretty cool thx wolf for making it!

But,,,,, Our =XtC= Server are using the new uteamfix and thats bad becouse i have to reconnect like 7 times to join the server! It kinda piss me off! After me reconnection 7 times the list of the players wont be there only the team score will show!
I cant play any clanmatches with out having lag! The only server i love most of all is TCP 2v2 Server! The uteamfix is cool there and its 2v2!
I am just asking what can i do to make this work? So i dont need to reconnect 7 times then end with a bad list!

I think in part the server timeout is responsible. As I said on the other thread, increasing the timeout setting on the server will make people lag out less - I did not get a reply on it though, not even Carnage's "okie dokie"

The bad playerlist is because you are using Unreal Gold. If you use the "obj garbage" command before reconnecting, your scoreboard will be okay.

If you have a free key you are not using, I recommend you bind this command, for example in game hit tab and type

set X obj garbage

(where X is your key you have free). From then on, press X before reconnecting.

However, this might increase the chance of lagging you out! Because your Unreal has to re-load all the packages it just threw out of memory. I seriously ask all admins to highten their timeout settings simply!

I didn't have problems yet. Maybe because I don't play much DM lately or because my Dual Barracuda 7200.7 (Raid 0) loads it in a second anyways.

Whatever UTF is running on Cars 2 vs 2 server, it seems to be buggy (or Cars server..) :/
The problems me and Taz noticed ( and neither of us has Gold )

1.) Scores sometimes dont update on our screens.. i.e. Server score is 19-25, we see scores 12-25 even after scoring 5 more frage

2.) Jumping and dodging comes and goes, you still stick to the ground quite often even though u tried to jump

3.) Ppl on my scoreboards still disappear, showing me an empty team, though it still has 5 ppl in it :/

4.) Sometimes you cant see your gun anymore..Even if you switch between guns, it wont be shown in game anymore (in extreme cases, it also takes the crosshair with it..) But that always only happens to 1 gun, the rest works..or maybe 2 guns..I dunno anymore

ya , also when i had 2 guns asmd and rifle they didnt seem to appear on the weapon list 4 and 9 i had full ammo on rifle still it says empty down there

I like the standar uteamfix the first one i love it!

This new uteamfix u have to have better pc then it says recommended for the game Lol! The Recommended is 64 mb ram and 500 mhz with a normal Card, sounds Card and a normal Internet Card if u wanna play on internet!

That really sucks! I know more ppl then just me that cant play teamgame becouse of the uteamfix! Of the Red Color Around makes it lag

There are 2 possible other mods that may be responsible for the loss of jumps. I will have Carnage to test that.

I have an idea why you suddenly could no longer see part of your guns (inventory), however the display code did not change from 9F. There is a counter how many items are displayed, and when it exceeds a certain number, displaying is stopped. Why? Because in some occasions, a loop is generated by Unreal, which makes an item point to a "next" item which is in reality a PREVIOUS one. If that happens, your Unreal normally crashes or freezes (especially if you keep throwing guns). UTF protects against this crash by simply stopping the loop after a while. So if your guns are sorted in the end of your inventory chain and the loop is broken in the middle, you do not see anything which comes after the loop break.

This is only a guess though. I am pretty sure that Taz would have crashed out of the game without UTF at this point though. After he died and respawned everything was back in order (I asked him) which would make sense, because on death, all inventory in possession is destroyed and the chain is nullified.

Unfortunately, it is only possible to DETECT the crash and avoid it, but it's not possible (yet?) to REPAIR a defective inventory chain :-/ It is also conceivable, that only the client saw the chain wrongly, but the server had it linked correctly and server/client got out of synch. In any case... crash or some bad display... take your pick what is better lol

My unreal used to go good with ur old uteamfix! Now u got one that needs better pc to run! The Red color is the problem i think! Well i am not saying u have to change it for me! But,,,,, i want to stop reconnection 7 times everytime i wanna join a server with ur new uteamfix!

I am not exactly sure what red color he is talking about. There are 2 or 3 boxes on the scoreboard, but you do not play with your scoreboard visible... except if your name is Larkon LMAO
