Yes...but as I said 4 billion times before, I first wanted to do a smaller test run with tcp ppl to see if it all would work out, before we would get more ppl into it :/
If we do a big thing out of nowhere, it'll of course fail like everything else, since nothing has been tried.

Thrown all into 1 group, so we could as well start with

If ppl wouldnt mind, I'd have made random teams, but for that I would need to know who plays..And I guess ppl have preferences to which they want to play with, especially when non tcp ppl come in. Otherwise there would be teams like Wolf Xaverishylylys and Cee Ramses and ZZ Taz and even Dutch Xaver Soft Fur :l

taz mentioned this to me some weeks ago but I forgot all about it because of things going on in xtc at the moment, working on building/sorting out a new website, buying a domain name and helping to organise things in the clan, whip our leader decided to step down for some months with no confirmation that he will come back to xtc..

so yeah, I've just been talking with taz again on msn and he mentioned the tournament.. I am interested in taking part in this since I know all of you well enough and can rely on you being dedicated enough to always turn up for things (I hope) lol

I've been talking with sirfy about it right now but she is unsure if she wants to take part yet because of things in real life that might take more priority.

ok.. Sirfy says she will take part, so you can include me and sirfy as another team if you want to and if there is room.

I can see all the details are not confirmed yet, but it would be good to maybe choose the maps ourselves and not have to pick from a list.. I think it would make it alot more fun and get players to play other maps, more of a challenge too. Of course there would have to be a short notice period before each match so that anyone who doesn't know a map has a bit of practice time to get to know it.. and really it doesn't take long to get to know a map, you can do it in under 1 hour

cee you talk about 1 home and 1 away game.. this would make the tournament last a long time, depending on the amount of teams of course.. but maybe the home and away game could be played back to back.. depends on how many maps have to be played and the scoring system i guess because that could mean a long match lol... I am just thinking once 2 teams meet then they could get the home and away games over with at once, but then again it might make the tournament too short ? also timing might be an issue and server availability if you have lots of teams having 2 games back to back on weekends. just some thoughts..

servers, I am sure you will use TCP servers for euro. If you need a server for usa, then xtc still has the tnn server we rent, we could make that available probably for this if needed and will sort out admin for carnage or whoever will be the main admin(s) remember there is no lag on the tnn server when downloading however it is a us server so ping is an issue for the low ping purists but connection isn't bad, I think it is all euro people playing except for sirfy at the moment. lol so 1 home and 1 away match both on euro? maybe just have the away match on a us server for fun since that is away for all us euros right? lol

As much as we encourage the use of custom maps, we have started to build up an internal black/whitelist of maps. The black list contains maps we will never play and they won't appear in a tourney we host. This detail is not open to discussion at all, Taz can fill you in. If you absolutely MUST have Deck available, this might be the wrong tourney . Feel free to propose maps though.

One other thing against the "rushers" here: before any match starts, rules and teams must be standing, otherwise this is just going down the same way as the last league. Also, I totally agree with Cee that our first attempt at this should be small. TCP and friends are welcome, but making it totally public for everyone to join wasn't the plan. Yes I would welcome both you and Sirfy as team of course. I also believe Cee will make an excellent tournament administrator. Just don't set any game off before having all the games planned and the scoring system nailed out. Other questions that MUST be answered prior to any game start is the use of fairplay rules - our own clan rules if it our tourney? Or should we make something simpler? Just today I had a nice discussion about such things with our old friend KDS Rewind. I've sent it to some other admins and wait for their reaction first before I present it either here or in the private forums.
