I bought that Doom compilation a couple of weeks ago ... its good fun to play it again especially with the jdoom graphics overhaul :)

download the 'doomsday' engine...its the best graphically and best for gameplay and stuff...its online aspects arnt all that great tho...

Yes, jdoom is the Doomsday thing ... seems to work ok on Lan :)

Hexen rocks! It was my favourite game before Unreal. I finally was able to play it in multiplayer with a friend last summer. It rocks for coop!

I'm sorry my Crystal Castles server has been down so long. I REEEEAAAALLLY plan on getting it back up here sometime soon. I may just restart it with the old version at the moment.

I have been working on a patch for CC fixing all the outstanding issues that currently exists for it. At the same time I have been doing some in-depth looking at improving Gameplay overall and implementing some new things here and there.

I also have four new Crystal Castles maps being worked on.


In the UT2004 world I have been working on some custom MultiMode weapon code with a couple of other guys (Mayhem Weapons mod and others)- trying to fix weapon code issues there is truly a pain in the rear end BTW....I think I am the only person that has gotten MultiMode weapons to even partially work right in the UT2004 world - so I have a couple of folks begging for me to help them out - I guess I am a sucker since I am helping them. Anyways, I get the benefit of having some more code that can be used in our UT2004 CC Implementation once I get it working 100% right.

Once the Unreal One patch comes out I plan on going back to UT2004 to finish up a few things I had left undone there.



The biggest holdup has been the fact that I have actually been getting lots of work so far this year (Telecommunications Consultant) and have not had much spare time to work on any programming projects.

I'm preparing a server as well, but I'm still missing a few maps. I downloaded the CC installer and the maps from the CC page, but the maps CC-Sliders.unr and CC-BerthildasCastle.unr are missing, and maybe others as well. Do you have a source where I can download them and -if they exist- newer CC maps as well?

I mailed you but it failed because newdefinitionsofpain is down.

The Sliders map is going through a total rebuild and the Berthildas Castle map should be finished but I haven't made it public yet at this time since I need to get all the code running 100% (made a fix in the code that it depends on) before I can release it.

Looks like the newdefinitionsofpain.com website and email will be down indefinately. We got tired of paying all that money for hosting and can't get ahold of the guy who owns the domain name to get him to transfer it somewhere cheap. I think the domain comes up for availability in November of this year so I might buy it then.

Meanwhile my email is down and I need to figure out a new email address.

Ok, I put a CC test server online. It might lag a bit as long as my ADSL is not yet upgraded, but what i saw of the earlier CC servers is that they are usually empty.
