No! No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't touch those cache files!

Those nice little cache files have been given an unique identification, which makes them immune for version conflicts. If there were no cache files, you should have to download all files manualy OR you should get a hell of a lot of conflicts.
Generally, you should never delete your cache, unless your harddisk is full. It's also not a bad idea to backup your cache folder to CD-RW from time to time. It can be quite frustrating if you have to download all those custom maps, mods and skins again.

So cache files can never make version conflicts. There are only 2 possible causes of the problem:

1. The most comon one: You have the conflicting file installed into your unreal client. Look in your unreal system folder for the file test.u and rename it to test.bak to disable it from causing conflicts.

2. This is a more weird problem, but sometimes it happens: You played an anothwer server with a different version of the conflicting file. (Boodablow's server probably uses a newer test.u) and when you played there and then connects to my server it gives a conflict.

The reason for this problem is that Unreal keeps loaded files in your RAM so when you visit my server after visiting Boodaflows server, Boodaflows Test.u is still in your ram.

Solution: Disconnect from any server, and type "obj garbage" in the console. This command clears the RAM of unused files (garbage) so you can safely connect to the next server.

Don't take it as offense to you. It was absolutely not meant to be. I just want to get the myth out of the world that deleting the contents of the Unreal cache would fix any problems.

About the obj garbage: It's extremely important that you disconnect first and then perform the obj garbage command. If you are still connected to a server it won't work because the files are still in use.
