Well it arrived friday so i went and tried it right away ..... the bugger is broken bah bah bah

The prick send me a broken cpu .. it must have been like this when he sent it to me coz the package was nice and secure :/

I presume this would have been the problem

That's the whole point of the e-bay getting stuff for the lowest prices ..
But that doesn't mean it's broken .. if if died during shipment yes i can understand that but this is just a ripoff .. pfuh some ppl

I'm sorry to see this. I saw too many dead athlons already. Return it for a refund as quickly as possible.

Tip: Buy a processor with "Intel Inside" on it. Then you know you have a high quality product. When you want AMD, you might also try the new Athlon 64 processors. These are now secured with a metal heat spreader protecting the core. (This is what the Pentium 4 already has for years.)

Well just tried it with the latest bios i could find .. still as dead as it could be

It's not the mobo with this new bios it's suposed to go up to a AthlonXP2500 ... ah well might try to get me one of those then

.. a working one preferably hehe

You might want to go to Hilltop Automatisering and let them install a new CPU in your system. You pay some extra, but you are sure you take a working system home.

go to tenerife. u get loads of electrical stuff there at really cheep prices. dont buythe jewlerry tho, it might look good, but in 5 minuts it mysteriously turn black...

im not actually in tenerife, i is in mallorca/majorca, but u catch ma drift...
