New milestone

I checked my Unreal cache, and it's over the 10 GB barrier now.
10.2 GB to be exact, which stands for 11.003.011.062 bytes. (or 11,003,011,062 bytes for the US dudes out there)
7.050 files of game types, maps, textures, mods etc.
Next target: 10.000 files. :p
Now it's time to make a backup.

Whoops! I made a mistake with the cache size: I still had a big RAR file in there, which makes the size incorrect. The current size of the cache folder is 7.79 gigabyte, so I did not reach the 10 GB yet. (!)

Yes, Unreal 1. It's quite amazing how much content the Unreal community produced in it's existence.

5.6 GB, that's quite large. Probably a lot of maps / mods installed.
I had this too, but because I got annoyed by version conflicts I got me a new download police a few years ago: Only cache (if possible)
Last month I manually converted my last installed add-ons (Like the RealCTF mod, and around a gig of coop and DM maps) to cache. The only disadvantage of cache is that it's useless when you want to play offline, but since I got ADSL and always play online this is not a problem in my case.

well, it was like over 1gb, and i had very few discs left, with still 3dmax to backup and all that crap.
oh well...
