oh I totally oversaw... SGS is an older java experimental tool, it's not really public and I am giving no support and I know it has bugs but DON'T BOTHER ME WITH THEM!!!! I will ignore all request, comments and questions about this tool, use at your own risk... so if you still want it, I hid it on my crappy page...

Yea, quite buggy  Tried to run under Linux... can't even read buddies list :D ...and more 8)
Pity, since I started to use only Linux I don't have a tool to quickly browse servers

Umm it does require Java 1.4 I believe. Older java engines produce errors. But the reason it won't work under Linux is because I started off using AWT and only later started to use Swing. If I redid everything in Swing it would certainly run in Linux... sorry you're outta luck there, but it's NO BUG that it doesn't run under Linux LMAO, it's because AWT is a Win32 library which does not exist in Linux :-/ Only the main screen with the 2 tables is Swing, but all containers, the log text panel and all other tabs are all AWT... sorry there, as I said this was an experimental JAVA program, which I used to start learning how to create GUIs at all.

Yea well but I have to be grateful, I wanted to ask Smirftsch to test if it runs in Linux once in a while (maybe some Linux geek came up with an AWT bridge for Linux   ) but I never got around to so now I got that answer - deserved a reply :) Besides, I love to tell Alice what he found was no bug at all hahaha, he sees bugs everywhere :P

hmmm, I don't know Java, but probably  I don't agree :!: Java is thought to be machine and system independed, so if you write anything in Java it has to run everywhere!

BTW 1: I have newest Java Virtual Machine :D

BTW 2: There are at least bugs:
1) it can't read buddies.sgb but file is in the same directory
2) when I click start and all servers is checked, next stop and start again all entries are doubled :?

Ad.1) probably path used to read file is composed of '\' instead of '/' - typical Windows programmers bug (in HTML and Java - under Win works, under others does not) :-)
